DMU achieved the Gold award for hedgehog friendly campus 24/25! Our preparations have just began for 25/26

What will we be doing?
Over the next couple of months we will be taking the steps to make our campus hedgehog friendly working through SOS toolkit. This includes working with the grounds team, hosting litter picks, conducting safety audits, educating staff and students, installing hedgehog houses, & more!

We need you!
We are looking for student volunteers to help us retain our gold standard and make our campus safer place (for hedgehogs).
For being a student volunteer you are a hedgehog ambassador! You are able to get a digital badge to use on LinkedIn and enhance your CV.
The skills you can expect to gain are: communication, campaigning, stakeholder engagement, practical conservation and ecology.
