Extra-curricular Activities

Student Societies at De Montfort: Some societies have an explicit focus on contributing to sustainable development such as The Model UN society and Enactus, which promotes social enterprise. Others are strongly supportive of linking the Sustainable Development Goals to their main activities.

#DMULocal: Work with partners across Leicester on projects and volunteering opportunities that enhance our city.

#DMUGlobal: Transformative international experiences for DMU students that contribute to addressing the UN SDGs.

Carbon Literacy Training: Training that provides university students with carbon literacy accreditation, enabling them to deliver carbon literacy training in schools across the Leicester community and beyond.

SeeD Grants for SDGs: Small grant funding (typically a few hundred pounds up to £1000) for projects led by DMU students, staff or alumni. Available annually..

Sustainable Development Goals Online: Provided by Taylor & Francis, SDGO is an interdisciplinary collection of digital content developed to support teaching, learning and research in the fields associated with the SDGs. DMU students will be asked to log in with their Single Sign On credentials for on and off campus access.
