This question-and-answer based online discussion session explores the realities of what works in practice to influence progress on climate change and sustainable development issues with two experienced change makers who will reflect upon direct experience from projects in the UK and across the world.
We will hear from Shivi Dwivedi and Ben Margolis, exploring the approaches that they have found most effective to date in their work to engage businesses, communities and young people. We will also explore their personal career journeys and how to develop personally and professionally as a change-maker for sustainability in any setting.
The session forms part of the De Montfort University (DMU) module ‘Leading Change for Sustainability’ within DMU’s Masters programme on Energy and Sustainable Development with the discussion led by DMU’s Dr Andrew Reeves. The event is open to all and organised through DMU’s role as chair of the East Midlands Regional Centre of Expertise in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and as part of our commitments to providing ESD opportunities for our students, staff and wider community.
