DMU staff are invited to an interactive online workshop on June 17th (11am to 1pm) led by DMU’s Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) project. Event details are below:
Values & Education for Sustainable Development: Linking personal and professional values to teaching and learning
Wednesday 17th June 2020, 11am to 1pm, online.
This interactive workshop session presented by DMU’s Education for Sustainable Development project will provide a space to reflect upon the role of personal and professional values in creating learning experiences that inspire and enable students to make a difference to society in their future lives and careers.
Part One (11am to 12pm): Workshop led by Ian Coleman exploring the values behind the UN Sustainable Development Goals through the framework of the Earth Charter, inviting participants to consider the values implicit within their own practice and linkages to achieving professional recognition through HEA fellowship.
Part Two (12.15pm to 1pm): Short case study presentations and discussion by DMU staff who are finding innovative ways to put their professional values into practice by addressing sustainability themes in modules in DMU courses.
