Get Carbon Literate and help make a difference in Leicester schools!

DMU’s next Carbon Literacy Training course for staff and students takes place on Monday 28th February and Tuesday 1st March, running online from 9.30am to 12.30pm each day.

Carbon Literacy Training comprises one day of engaging learning, developing knowledge and motivation to enable participants to make a positive difference on climate change, both through individual action and by supporting collective efforts within DMU, at work or further afield.

Successful participation gives you external accreditation from the Carbon Literacy Trust as ‘Carbon Literate’, which can enhance your CV and your confidence to make a difference on climate change.

Through a partnership with the Leicester EcoSchools programme, student participants in this training will also have the opportunity to volunteer with schools in Leicester to help students and teachers develop their climate knowledge and take action. A ‘train the trainer’ session for students that wish to take part will take place on Thursday 3rd March from 10am to 12pm. See a flyer for this session here. A further session will take place on Tuesday 8th March from 1.30pm to 3.30pm at the University of Leicester – see full details on a flyer here.
