DMU Graduates, ideally those working locally, are encouraged to join this free in-person course, offering an engaging and accredited introduction to applying sustainability thinking and skills at work…

The Sustainability Leadership Skills Programme has been designed to support and nurture early careers in sustainability. We have sessions covering skills that will help participants become change agents wherever they are in their career journey. All our sessions are created to be interactive and we create safe spaces where everyone feels able to contribute.

Participants engage in key sustainability competencies such as systems thinking and the application of circular economy principles, how to make the most of their early career experiences and how to inspire change from others. Five of the sessions will be delivered in person as a one day training opportunity and the remaining sessions can be then accessed through our online learning portal, along with further activities and resources.

The programme is delivered by locally based charity Change Agents UK, who specialise in supporting Graduates to address sustasinability in their careers. The training is supported by the CIWM (Chartered Institutions of Waste Management) and course participants will become eligible for Associate membership on completion. During the programme, they will benefit from free student membership.
