Leicester City Council declared a climate emergency in 2019, and has set an ambition for the city and council to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2030. Tackling the climate emergency is of vital importance, and the council is now consulting on our new ‘Climate Emergency Action Plan’ for 2023 to 2028. The new plan sets out the actions the council is taking to tackle the Climate Emergency in Leicester, and we’d like you to have your say!

The consultation asks for your views on the draft plan, and asks how we could support people and organisations in Leicester to take climate action themselves. The survey is open to all people living, working and studying in the city and we’d love to get as wide a range of responses as possible, including from university students. You can take part in the consultation until Sunday 28th January 2024.
