As part of our celebrations for Earth Day 2024 (April 22nd) we’re launching a Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) scavenger hunt on campus for DMU students, with a prize worth over £200. There are 17 SDGs but we want you to find 8 of the SDGs which have been converted into SDG boxes.

We have placed 8 SDG boxes in different places around campus for students to find. Venture around campus to explore areas you may have never been to before to find all of the 8 SDG boxes. Post a picture of each of the boxes you have found onto your Instagram story or social media channel and tag us in the pictures (@sustainabledmu) and with the hashtag #dmusdghunt

We will post clues on our social media channels to help you find all of the 8 boxes. There will be clues every day to help you discover the locations of the boxes.

You will need to find all eight boxes and post images of these on your social media to enter the prize draw.

The competition runs from 10am Monday 22nd April until 5pm Friday 26th April. Images of the boxes must be shared on social media by the deadline.

The prize for the competition is a set of Fairphone Fairbuds XL worth over £200. The Fairbuds are made by sustainable company Fairphone and are made from 100% recycled aluminium; 100% recycled tin in solder paste; >80% recycled plastics, Fairtrade Gold integrated into the supply chain; and travel pouch made from recycled fabrics. The headphone are also 100% electronic waste neutral.
